Strategies to a higher "Conversion Ratio".

As an affiliate promoting affiliate marketing programmes you want to know the conversion proportion of each program you belong to. So what would be a good conversion proportion for an affiliate program? Well after much research I have seen a 1% CR is reasonably sufficient. With affiliate marketing programs the less the better. But how does one decide which ones to join? There are 2 trains of thought in this area.

Join some leading affiliate marketing programs in only a couple of areas and put more effort into every one. It appears to me most sites are taking the scatter gun approach. For instance : we've three thousand affiliate marketing programs listed on our site. Find a specific area that you have an interest in. Example : Maybe your interest is in selling rare papyrus from Egypt and you find there is just one affiliate marketing programme dedicated to this. Click this link to see articles all about affiliate tracking. You aren't contemplating selling papyrus from Egypt one minute and then long distance calls the next. Then you target your associates with high level affiliate marketing methods. Now there's room for the expert to achieve success. With affiliate marketing programs the less the better.

By concentrating on these contributors you should be ready to achieve a CR of 1%. But don't expect the CR to rise overnite.
