Google Adding New Feature- Ad Review Center

Google Adding New Feature-Ad Review Center

Google is slowly moving a new feature into production for it publishers-It's called the Ad Review Center. The purpose is to allow you to review the ads -targeted to your site. This will enable you to ensure that the ads that are placed on your site, is relevant to your site's users.

You'll be able to see:
1. ads currently targeted to your site
2. ads previously run on your site

If you find an ad that is not relevant for your users, you can block the ad in the Ad Review Center. But they do suggest that you be careful about what you block. Why? The ads you block will no longer compete in the auction on your site, and thus, these advertisers may choose in the future not to advertise on your site.

If you block the ad you will be asked to give a constructive reason for the block. This information will be shared with the advertiser. They do stress that the information be constructive, so as to help the advertiser to improve in the quality and relevancy of their ads.

This new feature will be launched over the new several months. You will know that it has been enabled when you see a green notification box at the top of your 'Competitive Ad Filter' page, which is located under the 'Adsense Setup" tab.

There also will be a method in which you can manually review your ads before they are allowed to run on your site. To manually review your ads before they appear on your site you will need to:

1. click on "update setting" link in the Ad Review Center. You'll have 24 hours to review ads before they go live on your site.

However, they strongly suggest that you keep your review preference set to "auto-allow" and review the ads after they have run. Why? So as not to impact your revenue earning potential.
