Ok, I know, I'm far too junior to step down but one day I may actually had enough of working on the net ( or indeed working. ) and may wish to sell my site enterprises and naturally, this is the argument for any other entrepreneur.
By this I mean the website owner has made a business based round his / her very own experiences and knowledge and this suggests that across the site there are many private references. I'm guilty myself and many of my very own sites are built totally on my experiences and this is reflected heavily in the internet site content.
Now, this is clearly not a bad thing as the content that I've been ready to develop with my experience and data is valuable and earns me a good living BUT what if I needed to sell my websites? It is doubtful a buyer would need to buy a site that had a reference to 'Richard Grady' and 'his experiences' on the bulk of pages, which would imply that each reference to me on the site in question would need to be amended in some form. They implement many techniques to push traffic to their internet site, but if the visitors are leaving without purchasing anything, they make one last effort to hang on to them for future sales. They are now a "warm" market for your product, and after they start to know and trust you they'll become your clients.
