Raise your Sales Without Spending Another Cent.

If one of these processes fails to measure up to its expectancy, business starts to flounder.

Ways to minimize the hazards, get a better monitoring of the techniques and, at the same time, cut costs involved? The answer's business process automation.

According to a poll conducted among mid size corporations shows 52 % of respondents plan to spend over 1,000,000 buck on business process automation. Firms need streamlining their business processes to help solve diverse critical but precise issues,eg : An electronic provider, to remain competitive, needs reducing order accomplishment cost aggressively. Stop looking to make a sale, and start on the lookout for folks who have a problem that your product can fix. If there are insignificant issues you can fix them before they turn into something major. Do not let your first reason for calling be to request a reorder. Of course it is business suicide if you use your rival's products. Affiliate internet marketing. Teach your clients to shift their present spending to your products. You can do this with practically any product range. Since an existing B2B exchange may not have all of the obligatory features and functions, a good possibility is to build a personal exchange primarily based on one's own particular business process automation need. A shopping cart should be integrated to the electronic marketplace in order to automate the purchasing process.

The Truth about Online Content : It's Time for Writers to Take Back the Web.

Com, one of the web's hottest search engines, has indexed over 1,346,966,000 internet pages so far.

Once trained, web design firms commenced touting their new "writing skills", offering an one-stop-solution to their new site shoppers. The Buzzkill for Net-based Business Before you ask, "What does this have to do with me, as a writer?" Answer this query : Did you read ANYTHING about writers in the last 2 paragraphs? Naturally you did not. Now hit the remove key if your business is operated on the web. No hot appetizer to share whilst you break the ice. So how does one heat up to your customers? You be yourself -- but on the screen. To achieve success your writing must be clear, be alluring, and be really 'yours'. The words you write are your handshake, your conversation, and in the final analysis, they make your sale. A great, straightforward read is a snappy book by Joel Saltzman titled, "If You Can Talk, You Can Write. Click this link to find out news all about affiliate advertising. You will read sections like "From Fear to Freedom", "Okay, I have Eventually Got a First Draft, Now What?" and "Rules of the Road". Study 2 books like this and you will soon be writing clear, energetic copy. Does not your reader merit that? But it'll take practice.

There's an irony about the writing you and I enjoy for its ease and simplicity. New web style suggestions, which helped folks read online without getting a headache, for a while became the only factors for judging if web site content was up to standards. The Solution If company sites desire web content that affects, creates an emotive reaction, or at least sparks a memory ( tech term : "branding" ), it's time for them to head off to the folk who will give articles and copy an opportunity in hell for success.

Welcome to ASZ.COm.Au (Or, The Resolver Library is Broken)

A few days ago, I did a Google search and got the strangest error: a 404 (File Not Found) page that claimed to be from Apache with PHP and Frontpage extensions loaded. Google doesn't run Apache.

Since that was A Very Odd Thing Indeed I went to the Google home page. This time I got a new message: "Welcome to ASZ.COm.Au" (for some reason, I feel it's important to preserve the capitalisation).

My first guess was that my DNS cache had been poisoned. Or that I'd picked up a virus somehow. When I looked on Twitter I saw that I was not alone: a few people were reporting similar problems trying to access Facebook, YouTube, Google and even eBay. A discussion about the issue had started on Whirlpool. In most cases, the issue appeared to resolve itself eventually, or after a DNS cache flush.

In my case, the issue persisted for a little while and then stopped. I was able to access Google again.

It took some time for me to figure out what was going on (hey -- I'm over 27). The intermittent nature of the issue made debugging difficult. It wasn't until my partner mentioned that she'd seen the same screen when she'd tried to access the Bureau of Meteorology  that I was able to make progress. Visiting http://bom.gov.au/ (but not http://www.bom.gov.au/) consistently reproduced the problem.

I chased down a few theories: malware, cache-poisoning, an "optus issue".  But I finally worked out that this was the result of a documented feature of the common UNIX resolver library.

When you visit a web page your computer needs to "resolve" the host name (eg "google.com.au") to an Internet address. That's the job of the resolver, which in turn uses something called a domain name server. Your browser asks the resolver "what's the address of Google.com.au" and the resolver answers. Either the resolver already knows the answer because it's looked it up before and kept a copy (a cache), or it doesn't know, and so it asks the domain name server. The domain name server in turn may ask other domain name servers, until someone, somewhere, knows the answer. The answer is then sent back through the chain, ultimately to your resolver (called the "client").

So if the resolver doesn't know an address it asks the domain name server and waits for an answer. But it will not wait forever. In fact, it typically won't wait longer than several seconds. It's an impatient little thing and if it hasn't heard back quickly enough it assumes that maybe the hostname is wrong -- maybe the user just typed part of the hostname. Or maybe the domain name server does answer in time but the resolver cannot use the answer -- the domain name server may reply with "no one knows that hostname." Either way, the resolver will start to guess what the real (or "fully qualified") hostname might be.

There are two strategies a resolver can use when it starts searching for the fully qualified hostname.

The first is to use an explicit list of search paths. You usually provide this list yourself when configuring your network settings. If you haven't set such a list, then it will employ the second strategy. (That's going to turn out to be quite handy...)

The second thing your resolver can do is a "domain name search". It takes your domain name, prepends the hostname you're looking for and does a lookup on that. I'm with Optusnet, so my domain name is "optusnet.com.au". My reslover then might lookup "bom.gov.au.optusnet.com.au" if it doesn't get a useful answer for "bom.gov.au". If it still doesn't get a useful answer (and it this case, it won't) then it starts searching "up" the domain name -- it removes the first part of the domain name and repeats the search. So its second search is for "bom.gov.au.com.au". See what it did there? It deleted "optusnet" and tried again.  (Technical note: the behaviour is documented in the resolver man page -- see RES_DNSRCH)

That right there is the flaw and the root cause of the problem.

Someone owns the domain names "au.com.au" and "com.com.au". And they have name servers. And they've set them up to answer queries for a whole host of things, among them, bom.gov.au.com.au, google.com.au.com.au and facebook.com.com.au. And our resolvers are querying them and merrily sending our browsers there if the real name servers for those domains don't get their answers back in time.

Now we know enough to say what's going on:
  1. You try and visit Google, Facebook, Twitter (or the BoM). It's been a while so the address isn't in your resolver's cache. So it does a lookup by asking your domain name server -- this is usually provided by your ISP.
  2. For whatever reason, your ISP's name server is either too slow to respond or the response is lost altogether. So your resolver "times out" and starts to "search". Your domain name ends in ".com.au" and so eventually, your resolver looks up "google.com.au.com.au" (or whatever site you're trying to visit, with ".com.au" added to the end). The name servers at "au.com.au" (or "com.com.au" depending on what you're looking up) do respond and do so in time.
  3. Your resolver gives the bogus address to the browser and stores it in the DNS cache. The "TTL" (time to live) for those addresses is 4 hours, so you're going to be stuck with that address in your cache for at most 4 hours.
  4. Eventually, your cache times out. Or maybe you know how to flush it. Either way, a second attempt by the resolver to get the right IP address works and the problem appears to be resolved.
Multiple things are going wrong here:
  • The ISPs name server is either too slow to respond or perhaps "dropping" packets (DNS packets are typically using UDP which is not a guaranteed delivery mechanism like TCP). I've seen this with Optusnet before but in the past I just got a "site not found". Such responses aren't cached so if you hit "Refresh" in your browser you typically find the site just fine the second time.
  • The name servers for "com.com.au" and "au.com.au" have records that match other peoples sites. They shouldn't. Right now, it's just confusing and annoying but its potential for phishing is obvious. It's not necessarily malicious but it should be changed.
  • The algorithm used by the resolver in both UNIX and Windows has a security flaw: it should not search all the way back to ".com.au".
To me the ultimate problem is that last one: UDP packets, and hence DNS responses, are not guaranteed to be delivered. It should be expected that sometimes, things will get busy and responses will be lost. The resolver is in error by searching the domain name all the way back to ".com.au" -- IMHO that's a security hole similar to the old "cookie monster" bug.

There's a fix though, which at least works on OSX (Mac). If you set an explicit search path, then the resolver won't use the second strategy described above. It will search the search path(s) and then stop there. I've set my search path to "optusnet.com.au", the same as my domain name, and can no longer reproduce the problem.

There are other things that can help:
  • If your ISP's domain name server is not reliable use OpenDNS. There is some anecdotal evidence that the possibility of DNS replies being late or dropped is lower. Getting the "Welcome to ASZ.COm.Au" page for Google or Facebook depended on your computer not getting the DNS response in time (or at all) so having a reliable domain name server will stop the problem happening.
  • Add a "." to the end of your hostnames when typing into the browser (for example, "google.com.au."). The trailing "." prevents the domain name searching from kicking in.
  • If you're able, configure firewalls to drop packets from the name servers at "com.com.au" and "au.com.au".
Oh, if you're wondering why "bom.gov.au" could reproduce the problem every time: Their name server does respond quickly but not with an "A" record for that domain. Which is to say, it's not a response that the resolver can use to answer the question "what's bom.gov.au's IP address". So even though the resolver gets an answer it still embarks on its domain name search until it looks up "bom.gov.au.com.au" and gets an answer (an "A" record). To reproduce the proglem with Google etc, you need to wait for the DNS response packet to go missing in order to trigger the domain search by your resolver.

Other things can be explained:
  • It appeared to be an "Optus problem" at one stage because their domain name servers are occasionally overloaded and therefore slow. The Optus domain ends in "com.au" and so the domain name search would go all the way back to ".com.au". TPG seems to have similar issues.
  • I couldn't reproduce the problem at work because my domain name there is "work.com". The resolver is smart enough not to search as far back as ".com" -- it just missed the case where a country domain has subclassifications (such as ".com.au", ".co.nz" or ".co.uk"). That's the limitation to the "counting dots" method of deciding how far to walk back.
  • Switching to OpenDNS would appear to solve the problem because the resolver didn't need to start a domain name search if it got the right answer right away.
  • Flushing the DNS cache would appear to solve the problem because it's only occasionally that DNS replies get lost. You have a good chance on your second attempt of getting the right address.

Category Filtering Beta Testing By Adsense

Category Filtering Beta Testing By Adsense

Adsense is developing a much requested feature for publishers-category filtering.

What is category filtering? Category filtering will give the publisher a little more control over the type of ads that they can block from their website. You'll have specific categories to choose from, such as:

Dating
Drugs and Supplements
Get Rich Quick
Sexually Suggestive
Weight Loss
Politics
etc...

You can choose up to 5 different categories in which to exclude.

One nice feature is the percentage of recent revenue that the ads in each category is generating-this will give the publishers a better tool to predicting how the filtering selections will impact their revenue.

This may be a viable way for publishers to rid their website of irrelevant ads on their website or blog. However, this feature is now in only in beta testing. Which means that only a small select group of publishers are able to utilize the tool currently. Thus, we are going to have to take a wait and see as to when and if it is going to be offered to the whole Adsense community.

Eight Reasons Your Next Computer Should Be a Mac

http://www.uberreview.com/wp-content/uploads/get-a-mac-plate.jpg

Contrary to Microsoft marketing honcho David Webster's snarky recent assertion, Macs aren't "washed with unicorn tears" -- at least as far as I know. However, lots of extremely rational reasons exist to choose a Mac running OS X over a Windows PC. Macs can leave you happier and more productive than you would have been if you'd bought a Windows system, and feeling you got good value for your money even though a Mac is never the cheapest option.

I'm no hidebound advocate for the supremacy of Macs in every instance -- the last two computers I've bought have both been Windows laptops, and I cheerfully and sincerely wrote an article called Eight Reasons Your Next Computer Should be a PC to accompany this one. But when friends toss the eternal "PC or Mac?" question my way, these are the points I bring up in favor of the Mac. They're listed rough order of their positive impact on your everyday computing experience as I see it.

1. Macs are consistently consistent.

Windows Vista reminds me of the legendarily inexplicable Winchester Mystery House -- a place with endless wings and far-flung rooms connected by twisty staircases and secret passages. And every time Microsoft does a redecorating job (also known as an upgrade), it moves some stuff around for no apparent reason. OS X's logical, minimalist interface simply involves fewer things that must be learned and relearned, and Apple messes less with it in new releases such as Leopard. Bottom line: It's easier to get stuff done.

2. The joy of predictability.

Anyone who's ever suffered the indignity known as a Kernel Panic knows that Macs aren't bulletproof. But logging thousands of hours both on Windows PCs from multiple manufacturers and on Macs has convinced me that the average Mac is meaningfully less flaky than the average PC. In my experience Macs crash less, suffer from fewer inexplicable slowdowns, deal better with tight memory situations, and boot up and shut down quicker and more reliably. I don't pretend to have all the answers why, but it presumably doesn't hurt that Apple is the only company in the business that writes its own operating system and designs its own hardware.

3. Who needs security headaches?

If the Internet's bad guys ever decide to pummel OS X with the same intensity that they've pounded on Windows for years, the free ride for Mac fans may end. But for now, this fact is indisputable: A Mac owner who uses no security software at all runs less risk of being infected by spyware or a virus than a Windows user who obsessively protects his or her PC. In the last week alone, two Windows-using pals have been crippled by attacks; I've never heard even one real-world horror story from a friend about a Mac security meltdown.

4. Crud, or the lack thereof.

Windows is an infinitely better operating system when it isn't smothered by the demoware, adware, and other unwantedware that so many PC manufacturers splay onto the Start menu, the desktop, and the System Tray. Macs are utterly free of such junk, as well as native-to-Windows irritations like word balloons burbling out of the System Tray, Windows Activation, and User Account Control. And while PC manufacturers sometimes fix things about Windows that weren't broken--take the inscrutable Wi-Fi utility that Lenovo bolts onto Windows Vista--Apple wrote OS X in the first place. You can't tamper with your own OS.

5. Details count.

You can buy a perfectly pleasing Windows PC that matches a Mac's CPU speed, RAM, hard-drive space, and other specs for a lot less money. But it won't have an AC adapter with hooks that let you wrap up the cord for travel, or a MagSafe connector that won't get damaged if it's accidentally yanked out of the computer. It won't have an oversized touchpad with multitouch gestures that help you navigate through documents and around the Web. And it will likely be heavier and bulkier than a comparable Mac. Next time I encounter a Microsoft executive tsk-tsking about the onerous "Apple Tax" imposed by a Mac's needless glitz, I'm tempted to ask him what car he drives--and whether he chose the model with the cloth seats and hand-cranked windows, or one with a few creature comforts.

6. Apple is one of the world's best software companies.

Forget about all those Macs, iPods, and iPhones for a moment: Apple's applications are useful, enjoyable, and innovative, from the iLife creativity suite (whose presence on every new Mac is in itself an argument for the platform) to industrial-strength tools such as Final Cut Pro. Most run only on OS X. (The Windows versions of iTunes, Safari, and QuickTime are okay, but Apple does its best work on its own operating system and hardware.)

7. The Apple Store's Genius Bar rocks.

Buy a Mac, and you qualify for free in-person technical support from a patient rep with a deep knowledge of your system. I've had Geniuses do everything from reinstall my OS to replace broken keys on the spot. Microsoft has announced plans to train "Windows Gurus" to provide similar customer care at other retailers; it's worth trying, but there's no way it's going to replicate the Genius Bar experience. There are simply too many PCs from too many companies running too many variations on Windows for any one person to be an expert on everything.

8. Hey, Macs are PCs.

By which I mean that Leopard's Boot Camp feature--and better yet the Parallels Desktop and VMware Fusion virtualization utilities--let you run Windows, and Windows applications, on a Mac. (I do it myself on my Macs to use such Windows-only apps as TurboTax Business, as well as Office 2007, which I prefer to Microsoft's Mac version of Office.) I'm listing this last because I ultimately see running Windows on a Mac as a last resort: It's usually not necessary, and it degrades some of the other virtues of the Mac, such as protection from Windows security risks. But when it's valuable, it's really valuable.

If you've got more reasons to buy a Mac, sound off in the comments below. Also welcome: arguments against the Mac...some of which I detail in my list of reasons to stick with Windows.

New Apple Gizmos Coming Exclusively to Verizon?

http://images.pcworld.com/news/graphics/161384-apple_tablet_original.jpg

For those who switched to AT&T from Verizon in anticipation of the iPhone, now may be the time to switch back. According to two anonymous sources speaking to Business Week, Apple and Verizon may release two new Verizon-exclusive iPhone-like products as early as this summer. The rumors go hand-in-hand with recent talk that the iPhone is coming to Verizon, and that Apple has new devices up its sleeve for the summer.

One device seems like it'll be the closest we'll ever get to the iPhone Nano: a smaller, less expensive iPhone. The iPhone Lite, as it's being called, is smaller and thinner than the existing iPhone and will come cheaper because it "relies on a so-called system on a chip, which incorporates many types of chips and drives down the cost of silicon in such devices."

The other is a "media pad" that has the same functionality as an iPod Touch -- music, games, photos -- but with HD video and calling ability via a Wi-Fi connection. Sources tell Business Week that the device will be smaller than the Kindle 2, but with a larger touchscreen, paving the way for more speculation about Apple slinking into the eBook market. This might be the Apple Tablet everybody has been talking about.

"The media pad category might go to Verizon," a witness told Business Week. "We are talking about a device where people will say, 'Damn, why didn't we do this?' Apple is probably going to define the damn category."

All signs point to a burgeoning deal between Verizon and Apple because, 1) Verizon Wireless CEO Lowell McAdam told Business Week that he has spoken to Steve Jobs within the past six months even though Jobs is on medical leave; 2) Business Week isn't the type of publication to spread rumors; and 3) if Verizon wants Apple products, new products must be developed. Apple isn't about to renege on its iPhone exclusive deal with AT&T, and the current iteration of the iPhone is on a GSM network and won't function on Verizon's CDMA network.

Eleven Tips for Joining affiliate marketing programs.

The affiliate marketing programme has a great payment structure. Also ensure that the associate stats are updated instantly and instantly. Your sales ratio is about 2% ( which is good ) and yet you are only making $42.80 every month. Think about this : If you put just as much effort and time into selling each affiliate marketing program, then receiving associate commissions of $15 per order is better than receiving affiliate commissions of $1 per order. Compare that to our $1 per affiliate commission program. With our $100 product we need only three thousand visitors per annum or 250 visitors per month.

We continue to have one / tenth of the quantity of visitors for a similar quantity of affiliate commissions per annum of $6,000.

See whether the affiliate marketing programme gives examples of the way the top affiliates are doing. This could be a great pointer to if it is good or not.

Check what the links pages are like.

Search engine bots are improbable to go more than 3 levels deep on any site. When trying to find quality links look for internet sites that provide links as near to the default page as possible.

If your website is about widgets, I typically look for sites that are about widgets, widgeting, or anything widget-users would find useful. This could help look after your affiliates commission and give your internet site a more pro appearance. For this method to be absolutely effective, the affiliate desires to cloak the hoplink too.

Don't Build an internet site Till You Have Analyzed Your Keywords.

Imagine that you have got a $25,000 selling budget for your web weight reduction herbal supplement business. Should you invest it in making an attempt to build a site to rank one in Google for "weight loss?" NO.

What would be the point? To get tons of traffic? Maybe. Click here to get information about affiliate market.

But folks looking on "weight loss" might be looking for all kinds of things from weight reduction diet books.

So before you spend one single penny - or one minute -building your internet site, see what the low competition search phrases are for your personal product.

Duck setting a most unlikely goal, for example being one in Google for a general term like "weight loss.

You can build key word-targeted pages that are basically helpful to your visitors.

There are some free and inexpensive tools for finding low competition search phrases.

One of the most typical issues that folks make when beginning their web business is creating a site or product that folks do not want. Regard it like this, if you needed to open a restaurant you would perform a little research to work out if the local residents wanted your eaterie and whether or not they would be likely to use it. If the local residents announced 'no', then you would not bother opening would you?

Same process online - guarantee there's a market BEFORE you create the product. But whatever tool you select, go for keyphrases that are highly particular, applicable to your product, and have got less competition than the common terms. Do not know what I am speaking about? It's time to learn - just like you should learn how to use a saw, screws, nails, drill and glue to build a bookshelf.

Incredibly, many of us disdain these straightforward rules as attempting to "trick" the search engines.

Apple Cuts More Than 10 Percent of Full-time Retail Workers

http://images.macworld.com/images/news/graphics/140208-geniusbarboston_original.jpg

Apple's financial results for its second-quarter of 2009 were very favorable despite a few dark spots. But though the company may have posted its most successful non-holiday quarter ever, there are still some signs that Apple is scaling back on costs in order to combat the effects of the current economic situation.

Apple's 10-Q form filed with the SEC noted that the company had 14,000 full-time retail employees as of the end of the past quarter. That number stands in sharp contrast to the 15,600 employees the company reported in the same document filed at the end of the December 2008 quarter.

Did Apple lay off 1,600 retail workers? There are other possible explanations, including shifting workers to part-time status or cutting excess personnel employed during the busier holiday quarter, but given that the figure represents more than 10 percent of Apple's retail workforce, it seems likely that a number of those employees were let go.

That jibes with other figures that Apple's disclosed about its retail segment, too. For example, the company said that it opened only one store in the second-quarter of 2009, compared with four in the year-ago quarter. In looking forward to the rest of the year, CFO Peter Oppenheimer said that Apple planned to open a total of 25 stores in fiscal 2009, half of which would be outside of the country. That's just half of the 50 stores Apple opened in 2008. Retail revenue was down year-over-year as well, going from an average of US$8.5 million per store in the second quarter of 2008 to an average of $7 million per store in this past quarter.

Retail is an expensive segment for Apple, as it requires not just hiring more workers than the company would otherwise employ, but also necessitates long-term investments like property leases and expenses like store construction and maintenance. In an environment where consumer spending has dropped off, that could make the retail segment particularly vulnerable.

Despite that, Apple has yet to close a single one of its retail outlets in the almost eight years that they've been operating. By all accounts its retail stores have been an incredible success in that time, attracting millions of customers and generating substantial revenues for Apple. However, the company's investments there are not without their risks, as Apple notes in the same 10-Q document, saying "The Company would incur substantial costs if it were to close multiple retail stores and such costs could adversely affect the Company's financial condition and operating results."

It seems that Apple has instead focused its cost-cutting measures on personnel to help avoid closing stores, but it's not inconceivable that we could see our first Apple Store shutter if the economy continues in the direction that it's been going.

Seven Rules To Live By When Selecting An affiliate marketing program Or work from home Business.

This is perhaps the best example of such phenomenal success. If the affiliate marketing program is so popular and so generally available and booming like mushroom. They are the one with takings of ( $100,000 and over a year ). There's also a huge majority who still make a big income ( around $10 000 to $75 000 a year ).

Naturally the overwhelming majority of associate will never make that much cash.

A Straight Answer to the Query : what's affiliate Marketing?

One of these is to quit marketing your associate sales page at once.

In my opinion there's an easier way to try this and one way has a site of your own to send traffic to. Today I see successful affiliate marketers approaching their business from any one of these angles. You can pre sell a product based on your private experiences, or you can write an unbiased review and make a review page out of that. By doing this before you send your visitors thru to your associate sales page, you may raise your efficacy and your conversion rate with that categorical program or product. Another thing you can do is send traffic to a landing page and build your list for future follow. Most affiliate marketing programmes are free to join, thus its become a common way to start making profits online today. Click here to go to articles about affiliate schemes. 2 key things to recollect are selecting market where there's now activity and then pick a product that you can earn cash selling. Naturally to try this you'll need to make a hosting account and then also make a pre sell page. If you consider your own private situation you have possibly acquired things on the Net based mostly on suggestions of others. Folk will appreciate that and it'll help boost your sales. You do see folks setting up free blogs and using those to form their pre sell pages or landing pages. If you do any kind of free advertising with article promotion or dialogue forums, you know they won't let you promote affiliate links in any way. By hosting your own webpage this not only gives you control, but will permit you to link back immediately to them in any forum post that you make, or any articles that you write.

When Do I begin to get Money and Where Does It Come From?

This may be a Awfully ineffective way of attempting to earn money on the web. ( if you do not know what an affiliate marketing programme is, read "Affiliate Programs. Make a content-based site, get traffic to it and use it to pump your affiliate marketing programmes.

The idea is that, by making a content-based web site, you will attract centered REPEAT traffic, thus increasing the chances that someone will buy one of your affiliate marketing program products. And will save everyone a fortune on advertising. Anything that may be delivered digitally is a safe bet - software, e-books and so on. You like looking online and are dazzled by all of the fantastic free information out there. I graduated with my 2 year associates degree with the fourth highest gpa of the graduating class. That message is "If you can believe it, you can do it. "You first need to have a belief in your head as if you have recently accomplished what you are setting for your goals. Is Net Classified Advertising Dead?

But before I do that, let's see why most affiliates FAIL in just about any given affiliate program.

If you are one of those netpreneurs who changes affiliate marketing programs ordinarily and not earning from it, you now know why it is not working. As little as 2 years back, classified advertising on the web was HOT. 9% of their efficacy due to abuse by programs known as "auto-submitters". These programs post to thousands and thousands of free classified ad sites and FFA's, customarily for a fee. The issue with using such services is thousands of people are using them as well, not to mention the proven fact that they don't often post an advertisement to any sites which receive the focused traffic you're on the lookout for. The "secret" to effective online classified advertising isn't truly a "secret" at all, but more a case of common-sense. Now you may be thinking, "Great, but what does that have to do with classified advertising?" It's Easy . Search engines send focused traffic to the sites listed inside them, but may also be your best tool to find the high traffic sites that offer inexpensive classified advertising that both receives the traffic your trying to find, and the centered patrons you want to make sales. Here is what you do : Go to any MAJOR search engine ( manage affiliate , affiliate promotion , and so on. ) and do a search employing a phrase somebody looking for your service or product would look for ( i. You'll find some glorious alternative phrases by taking a look at each engine's results, which should contain additional search recommendation ( i. ) Take a note of the top twenty sites that come up in each search. To understand your product you must USE IT, and know everything there is to understand about it. If you have not heard of Inducement Selling , you are sure to have once been a victim of it in your each day life. Consider it have you Up sized your meal at McDonald's, have you ever brought anything due to the Free Present or Discount. It is irrelevant that there are doubtless thousands of other associates promoting the same program because from today onwards you're going to form a sneaky advantage.

How to Make Easy Internet Money Without Trying to Sell Anything

If you spend much time on the internet you will find that there are advertisements everywhere trying to sell you something that will teach you how to make easy internet money. If you have ever bought any of these programs you were probably soon disappointed.

Most of these programs are based on the same concept. Most of them will tell you to make money by going out and trying to sell something to somebody. In most cases you will be told to sell the same money making program that you just bought. Whether it's network marketing, internet marketing or something that claims to be neither of the two most how to make easy internet money programs for sale are based on the same concept.

Some of these programs are fine for people who are good at selling and who like to sell. But most people are not good at selling and don't want to have to sell.

If you want to make easy internet money but don't want to deal with all these gimmicks then why not forget about all that stuff and make money online the same way major banks and many corporations that we are all familiar with have been making money for many decades.

Most people don't realize that by far the largest market in the world is the foreign currency market also called the forex. Trillions of dollars are exchanged on the forex daily. Not billions but trillions, this market is massive. World currencies are being traded 24 hours a day and this causes their values to constantly fluctuate. Banks and other institutions learned a long time ago that they can make massive profit from this constant fluctuation in value.

Now with the internet anyone can sign up for a forex account online and with a small amount of money be able to control a large amount of money with leverage and make a profit from these value fluctuations. In order to do this it used to require market analysis and being able to predict where the currency prices were going. That's not the case any more.

Now there is software that will do all of this for you. This software called expert advisors or robots are programmed by currency experts and once you set it up on your forex account it will buy and sell currencies for you at the right times based on time tested formulas and make money for you on autopilot. You don't even have to know how the currency markets work because the program does it all for you.

If you want to know how to make easy internet money try a forex expert advisor. The one I use doesn't cost much and is making me a very nice income all on autopilot while I do the things I want to do. Just make sure you get one with real live proof of making long term profit. Most forex brokers will give you a demo account with play money to practice on. You can try the expert advisor on a demo first just to make sure it works and will make money for you.

Watch the forex robot that I use trade the forex live and see how you can make easy internet money on autopilot

Discover The Affilate Program thats best for you.

Are you looking out for a fulltime business with.

Use commonsense when researching affiliate marketing programmes, remember the old proverb, "Anything that appears to good to be true. You are going to need tons of traffic to do the 'earning right away' thing. If you are new to Web selling you may be better off if you make your own product.

Sell somebody else's product and you only keep a little of those profits. I do not say that somebody just beginning off should not join an affiliate marketing programme. When you do not have a good service to sell online, being an affiliate could be a great option. Just bear in mind that it might take awhile to see a profit since you should plug the program and build traffic to it just as you would if you had your own internet site. Just be certain you find an affiliate marketing program that offers something you like and would feel better about selling. The beat thing about affiliate Programs is that they are "no-brainers".

When you decide on the program ( s ) that is best for you, dedicate yourself to learning and understanding what it is you are promoting.

Listening To Your Inner Voice

Everyone has that "Inner Voice" and when you're working on the internet, many prey on your desires, while hoping that you will ignore your inner voice, and take the bait.

Let's take an example. We'll call the participant, Joe NotSoSmart.

Joe NotSoSmart got an email from another webmaster that they would like to buy space on Joe NotSoSmart's website. The webmaster told Joe NotSoSmart the specific page that they wanted their ad on.

Joe NotSoSmart, was elated about the prospect of making some money on a monthly basis. And simply said, "when will you have your ad ready?"

Joe NotSoSmart did not:

1. check the website. Always check the website, and all it's links. Why? The website may be a single splash page, with absolutely no content or link. Doesn't happen you say? It does.
2. State that he had Google Ads on his site, and he will follow the Google rules. Which means that, he will properly identify it as an advertisement. (This quickly will determine the mindset of the
individual). Either they will agree, or you will quickly know they were after your ranking-and will not respond.

What can happened to Joe NotSoSmart because he did not check these simple things?

1. The link can go to anywhere, especially if the website is only a single splash page that has only one benefit- a professional looking page. Could it possibly end up leading to a page that Google does not think highly of? If so, his website is in trouble. Obviously, it's not going to a no-content splash page.
2. He could possibly run into a problem with Google and see his ranking fall, as well as, his position in the Google search engines fall. Or, the worse case scenerio, be banned from Google. As well as, some of the other major search engines. This would eventually lead to his closing his website down and starting from scratch.

As you can see, always place your bets on the side of caution. And do your research.

I had some fun this week with Notan, the Japanese paper cutting exercise of expanding the square.  I began by spontaneously cutting tree branch shapes into each side of a 6" square of art paper.  Because I didn't plan, I quickly ran out of room in the square.  I pasted the results in my sketchbook and photographed the strong black and white image.

Then the real fun began.  In Photoshop Elements, I resized, multiplied and rearranged the image in a bunch of ways.  I played with transformation, getting some really cool distorted results. I even made a custom paintbrush with the image.  I am really pleased and energized by the results.  My goal is to make a screen or stencil with the image.

OLPC graduate Pixel Qi announces 3Qi three-in-one screen will debut next month

After spinning off from the OLPC project last year with that fancy dual-mode display technology in its pocket, Pixel Qi has been pretty much talk. Now there's more talk, but at least it comes with a timeline: next month. That's when Pixel Qi founder Mary Lou Jepsen believes the much-anticipated 10-inch 3Qi display should hit the scene, combining a low-power black and white mode, e-paper mode and high-resolution color LCD mode into one glorious, sunlight-readable (and hopefully outlandishly cheap) screen. They'll just be shipping samples initially, but should have the screen producing in volume sometime this summer. Mary Lou also has some big words on the future of displays, claiming that they're working on screens that act like a chip on the motherboard, saving power and improving visuals -- we're not sure what that entails, but it sounds pretty neat. She also says that "screens shouldn't be TVs," and that touch and multitouch are key. It doesn't sound like any of that is in the 3Qi, but hopefully it's all going to be ready to go for the Nick Neg crew by the time OLPC XO-2 (pictured) rolls around.

Fab Fake 4G iPhone Designs

iPhone enthusiasts from around the Web offer their visions for the next-gen iPhone.

iPhoney Baloney

While iPhone-maniacs are drooling over what Apple has in store for the new version of the iPhone 3G this summer, fans are already speculating as to what an iPhone 4G will look like and what features it will have. Never mind the fact that for Apple to have an iPhone on a 4G network they'd have to be free of AT&T.

We've combed the Web to bring you our 'Photoshopped' favorites. Afterwards, let us know what you think about these concept iPhones and if there's one we missed.

Memory Maven

Obviously the concept here is that there'll be more memory (for all those "luxury" apps on tap) and the staple Apple silver shell.

Good Genes

If the PowerBook and the iPhone 3G had a baby. Here we have a titanium and glass model that hopes for an OLED screen, front camera for iChat, removable battery (yeah, that'll happen), a 3.2 Megapixel camera, video and, of course, more memory at 32 GB.

A Cinderella Story

Hmm, interesting but not screaming Apple to us.

It's Ultra, Man!

Dubbed the "iPhone Ultra", this concept looks a lot like other 4G iPhoneys with a titanium and glass casing, and an OLED display. Under the hood, there's a 1.2 GHz processor and the "specs" list also includes a 5.2 megapixel camera, 4G connectivity, WiFi, Bluetooth 10x and iPhone OS 2.7.

It's Ultra, Man! The Sequel

Another view of the iPhone Ultra. Note the 64 GB of internal memory. Concept specs note that the battery of the phone would provide energy for 18 hours of video playback and 48 hours of audio playback. That would indeed be sweet.

Luxe Life

The "iPhone Luxe" is a deluxe version of the iPhone Ultra, with a whopping internal memory of 128 GB and black, elegant case.

Game On!

According to a ComScore report, iPhone users are about ten times more likely to download games for their phones than other smartphone users -- and this design takes gaming to heart. Not sure this looks better than a PSP, but still interesting. Will the next-gen iPhones offer a gaming focus? Will there be a new iPod gaming device in the works?

Dangerous Curves

Nice curves! This iPhone 4G concept appears inspired by the MacBook Air and would offer us something we're currently missing in current iPhone models -- a videochat. Combined with GPS, this could prove a powerful feature. Like other 4G concepts, this design has a front camera.

Key-Bored?

Still amazed at concept iPhones that incorporate QWERTY keyboards. This design seems antithetical to what the iPhone offers, but still like the titanium shell.

Say Cheese!

Another odd design that looks like it was built by Nokia with its QWERTY slide-out keyboard. What's up with the camera lens? Maybe it's just a way to say that this designer wants the iPhone to boost the camera features.

A Keyboard, a Camera -- and Game-Ready

The "iPhone Pro" looks a lot like the previous concept (keyboard and honking camera) but has a a little hint to gaming interface. Not quite up to Apple's design standards, but like the gaming nod.

Sleek and Curvy

Another concept with curves -- this design is sleeker than the existing 3G model. As with other concepts in this batch, this device-hopeful has a titanium back plate (a la the original iPhone). The headphone slot is replaced by longer and thinner one that stretches across the top of the phone's display. There's no mute switch here (a problem for sure), but there appears to be a few feature items missing from this offering.

802.11n and More

This iPhone 4G concept from TERANFX tech blog, hopes for 802.11n (which appears to be on the way for the next version of the iPhone 3G), FM radio, and video editing.

Apple Responds to NetBook Questions

Apple COO Tim Cook answered questions regarding the company's plans for the NetBook market during Wednesday’s conference call...

-----
For us, it’s about doing great products. And when I look at what is being sold in the netbook space today, I see cramped keyboards, terrible software, junky hardware, very small screens, and just not a consumer experience… that we would put the Mac brand on, quite frankly. And so it’s not a space, as it exists today, that we’re interested in, nor do we believe that customers in the long term would be interested in.

That said, we do look at the space and are interested to see how customers respond to it. People that want a small computer (so to speak) that does browsing and e-mail might want to buy an iPod touch or an iPhone. So we have other products to accomplish some of what people buy netbooks for. So in that way we play in an indirect basis.

And if we can find a way to deliver an innovative product that really makes a contribution, then we’ll do that. We have some interesting ideas in this space. The product pipeline is fantastic for the Mac. If you look at the past, in 17 of the last 18 quarters we’ve exceeded the market rate of growth, and to exceed it in this horrendous economy is quite an accomplishment, especially if you look at these very low-cost netbooks that I think is a stretch to call it a personal computer, that are really propping up unit numbers as a whole.

I think a innovative product that might make a contribution would have a 10 inch touchscreen....

How to delete your Google account

If you're like me, you eventually end up with too many identities. I haven't figured out how to associate different email addresses with a single account, so I have to maintain several different Google identities.

For example a client invites me to join his Google group using his company email, so I have to set up a new account to access and manage that group. At some point I try to consolidate these to use my GMail identity, but that isn't always possible (the client may for instance have decided to restrict their group to only allow access by people using their corporate domain addresses for instance).

Eventually though, I do end up with accounts that I'm no longer using (and sometimes I just would like a fresh start). Google actually has a link in their help about deleting an account, but it took me a bit to find it, so I thought I'd post a step by step guide.
