What's New With Adsense?

What's New With Adsense

Over the last several months Adsense has been testing their text ad format to include the "next" and "previous" arrow buttons for their cost-per-click ads. If you haven't seen it or paid any attention take a look. You will see and < > , usually, but not always, in the lower left hand corner of the ad. It's purpose is to give your viewers additional ads that may be more relevant to what they are seeking.

No, you won't generate any additional earnings when someone clicks on the "next" or "previous" button. But they are hoping that these buttons will have improve value for the advertiser and your revenue by giving your viewer more choices.

Note some Google Suggestions on Ad Differentiating and Placement.

Nothing stays the same on the Internet. And that, I am afraid is true with Google. New suggestions are being made by Google as to ad differentiation and placement of your ads around titles.

Google Ad Differentiating
It looks like Google is wanting you to differentiate your ads by color. No more blending your ads with your copy. At least that is how I am reading it.

Titles and Google Ads
If you have ads around your Title-and the title is more of an encouragement to your viewers to click the link below the title(because they believe it is a publisher placement link and not Google link), it's time to regroup and change your ad placements.
