It looks like Google has made another adjustment-in regards to the paid link issue. As you may recall, in September Google dropped the hammer on directories that had paid links.
It looks like Google has now penalized some high profile blogs and mainstream news sites for selling links, at least that is the assumption that is being made. High profile blogs and mainstream news sites saw a noticeable drop in page rank when they woke up October 25th.
As you can imagine, reactions were mixed. Some say this levels the playing field for all, while others are in a state of denial. Whatever the case, one has to wonder how the drop of page rank will effect their site. Maybe this is a good test to see which fairs better to maintaining traffic-page rank or individual loyalty.
