The Art of Procrastination
The Art of Procrastination

Everyone knows what procrastination is right? If not, here’s a quick definition “to put off for another day”. When you are first starting out, it’s easy to not procrastinate, but as your business moves forward you may find yourself with a case of procrastination.
I have to treat “procrastination” as a self-employed illness that must be dealt with. And no, you can’t take medicine for it. If you’re not sure how to identify procrastination let me share some thoughts:
1. Your intent for the day is to write an article-and you know you have to do a little research. You stare aimlessly at the computer screen for a few minutes-contemplating the task. (The few minutes extend to a half-hour as you organize your desk.)
2. Back to your article. Let the research begin. But yet that inner voice may say: “Let’s look at your stats, it will only take a few minutes.” And that is what you do. (Eventually you may repeatedly look at your stats throughout the day. No reason, other than that they are there.)
3. After completing your stats look up, you are now ready for your research. But your thoughts intrude once again with: “Gee, I guess I’ll get a cup of coffee, that might energize me.” You’re gone again.
4. After getting your coffee, you are again, back at your computer. Slowly you sip at your coffee, when an email arrives. Got to read it. Do you read just the one email? Of course not, you read all of the emails, even the ones you’ve read before.
This can go on for the full day, if you do not recognize the symptoms. So what do you do, or what can you do. If you need to get a task accomplished on that day, you will need to either:
1) Reward yourself if you accomplish the task, or;
2) Threaten yourself with: If you don’t get it done now, you will have to work late into the night –with constant interruptions from your spouse, your children or your neighbors. (I have to admit, this reality check does hit home.)
There have been times when my husband will sit in a chair and talk to me while I’m trying to write. Or he will ask me to look up things on the computer. I usually find myself doing the Whoopi Goldberg comment in “Ghost” of “I will,” with much emphasis.
If you do not need to get the task done today, admit defeat and take the day off and come back tomorrow refreshed.
Though these quick suggestions may not be perfect, it can give you an idea of what you can do to get yourself back on track. Now, let me see, oh yeah, I need to look at my stats again.

We Know People
Saul,Krondon,Chace Infinite,TrubbleI recently met one of the greatest spoken word poets / artists of our time, Saul Williams. The first time I was really exposed to his talent was when I caught the movie Slam for the first time, and I was impressed by his cadence, he recites like an emcee, not spoken word artist. We were all at brother Talib's studio recording some mixtape shit and Mr. Williams came through to get Kweli on a new track for his album which I think is called "So Intellectual". Shit was like some Spank Rock on Space Dust sounding shit produced by Kid Tronica? I think....anyway if you aint up on Saul Williams check him out the nigga is the truth.

Why I do not shift to a custom domain
If you are seriously engaged in blogging, it is always recommended to have your own domain and preferably Wordpress hosted on it.Many Internet friends and some blogging professionals recommended me to have my own domain.Webtalks is making enough bucks for me to buy hosting and a domain for it.I'm a big WP fan and I too want to join the self hosted Wordpress community.Still there are few reasons that restrict me
- Domain Age.With the blast of links everyday towards this blog (say thanks to templates), I believe Google will put this blog in the Sandbox.Since I'm currently on Blogger, Google counts the domain age of blogspot.com which well is a pretty old one(1999).
- Time.As a student it isn't easy to come online everyday.Which leaves me with two alternatives.Either sell off my blog like Rishi did or keep the posts on blogger till I pass out.I'm not comfortable selling this blog as this is connected to my Google Account.So keeping it live on Blogger is the only option(Don't say that I can also delete the blog).
- Hosting.Though many web hosting providers promise 0% downtime, still there is a risk.On blogger, I haven't yet encountered any downtime for this blog.Blogger currently gives undisclosed bandwidth to its blogs, so no problems how much traffic I receive when I'm absent
You read it right.I will for sure move Webtalks to a custom domain.All I can currently tell you is that you'll have to wait a bit for it.I believe by May 2010.Yes I know its long after.But I will continue posting on Webtalks when I'm free.I had already bought a domain (ashtech.info) back this summer.But afterwards I came to know (.info) domains are full of spam, so next time I'll buy a (.com) only
I'm currently looking for a good domain name (.com). If you have any thoughts, feel free to share them in comments.By 2010, I hope it will gain some age and then we'll shift Webtalks to it.
During this period I will go through intensive studying as these 3 years will be determining for my career.If you are an Indian you would be quite familiar with IIT-JEE which is what I'm going to be preparing for.But still I need wishes from all you for cracking IIT isn't possible without your blessings.Will miss you all.

Affiliate Marketing from the other side? What do I mean? Those who offer affiliate programs to affiliates have both benefits and concerns.
When you have an affiliate program you have to honestly look who will be promoting your product. What should you look at when someone wants to join your program? Most all companies look for the following area of compliance and niche matching when considering affiliates:
These rules are important to the one with the affiliate program. It can protect your online reputation. That comes to my next subject -A strict no-spam, fraud policy.
No Spam Policy
If you are thinking about creating your own product and thus, are looking for affiliates, you should enforce a strict no-spam, fraud policy. Why? If your site becomes associated with spam or fraud – it will damage or destroy your reputation. This translates into no online business.
Positives of an affiliate program
The positives of having your own product is:
1. It will grow web sales.
2. Increased traffic
3. Solidifies you as an expert
To conclude, there is a lot to consider when creating and maintaining an affiliate program. But what is just as important, is not forgetting about the affiliate and what they can bring to your business.

January 24, 2008 - Thi xong là ăn chơi
Cứ mỗi độ thi xong, lòng tôi lại thấy nao nao...
hì hì nao nao là phải vì cứ thi xong là nhậu, mà nhậu mà "lòng" ko nao sao được- bọn con trai lớp tôi có truyền thống ăn nhậu, và thêm 2 truyền thống nữa là đánh bài tiến lên bao Cafe cho nhau và mới đây nhất là đánh bi da...
thi xong nên mình cũng thả cửa một lầntheo tụi nó hè hè... đủ món ăn chơi
"kì nào cũng thế, kì nào cũng vậy"
Chụp mấy tấm hình để làm kỉ niệm cho lớp:
Tấm này chụp auto trong cuộc ăn nhậu năm ngoái.
Và năm nay:
Trò ăn chơi đầu tiên lúc nào cũng là nhậu
Cả bọn trong quán ở Sư Vạn Hạnh, thiếu mình + Giàu
Anh chị em chỉ uống bia hơi thui, sinh viên đang ở giai đoạn vô sản trầm trọng :)
Pé Hà đang bị đau đc miễn uống nhưng lại là người cụng ly nhìu nhất.... sau đó chú Nhật sẽ uông thay - 1 dịp để thể hiện tình củm he he
Uống xong anh em đi ca, nhìn bà Lan già ngất ngưỡng chưa nà..
He he, mình cũng để auto - tự sướng một tấm nè
Sau đó cuộc ăn chơi kết thúc, mình về nhà, xem phim và chịu cái khổ ải của việc uống bia hơi - đau đầu kinh lun.
9h 30 tối tỉnh giấc. Bác Hoàng trong phong kêu dậy nướng mực ăn. Phòng 7 thằng mà dzề hết còn mỗi 3 hà:
Chuẩn bị chiến trường:
đang ăn để auto 1 cái - Nhân vật gồm có anh Hoàng, anh Khuyên và me
thêm tấm nữa nè, anh em mau chụp nè
Chứng tích sót lại...
hè hè, ăn chơi thế đã, mai lại có công chuyện khác, một mùa mới lại mở ra - hy vọng cho Thành Công!

January 24, 2008 Hôm nay- Thi xong học kì rùi
Phù cuối cùng thì cũng kết thúc kì thi, lần thi này dài hơn mọi lần - có lẽ mình mong những ngày thi qua thật nhanh.
Kì này mình nghiệm ra một thói quen, có cần phải nói là "phát minh ra một chân lý ko nhỉ?" :D trong suốt các học kì - gần 5 tháng - dài mà lại ngắn - quy luật thời gian cho 5 kì Sư phạm trôi qua:
2/4 tháng đầu tiên để ăn chơi tận hưởng cảm giác thanh nhàn
khoảng 2 tháng cho một mục tiêu khác ngoài sư phạm - chủ yếu là Tin học, đôi lúc thêm Anh văn+(èn mo...)
3/4 tháng cho sứ mệnh nhỏ hơn thi giữa kì
1 tháng để chạy đua lại chương trình trên lớp và cho 1 xíu quyết tâm sau khi thi giữa kì (bít do sao rùi - bèo nhèo quá mà)
>1/4 tháng nghỉ stress + chán chường
và khoảng 1 tháng cuối cùng dành cho sứ mệnh vĩ đại nhất của giai cấp sinh viên - thi cuối kì
mới khai giảng đó mà....hô biến-> phù... hết lun một học kì - Pà con bảo: NHANH THIỆT, sắp ra trường rùi.
và điều gì còn đọng lại sau mỗi kì:
Thứ nhất, sai lầm lớn nhất vẫn là do mình đang chạy hàng hai - hai con đường: vừa Sư phạm Toán vừa học Lập trình, nhưng quyết tâm lớn nhất vẫn là cố gắng chạy hai con đường. Mình ko tham, nhưng đây là con đường đã quyết định từ trước, mình cần kím 1 tấm bằng ĐH và chuẩn bị cho 1 tương lai sau Sư phạm. Vẫn lun suy nghĩ tìm giải pháp cho tương lai.
Thứ hai, lúc nào cũng lun phải cần nghiêm túc trong công việc và 1 nghị lực nữa. Giai đoạn thi cuối kì, mình nhận ra tự mình đã đánh mất nghị lực phấn đấu của mình. Ko còn như năm lớp 12 hay đầu Đại học, giờ đây mình học có nhiều lúc chán chường và ko 1 chút quyết tâm. nó mất dần thành 1 thói quen mới... phải lấy lại thui-còn bít nói j :)
Thứ ba, dù công việc có bận cỡ nào cũng phải lun dành thời gian đọc sách dạy làm người, truyện cười... nhờ thế để lun tìm ra điểm yếu của mình để mà sửa chữa và học tập.
Thứ 4, sức khỏe là vàng. Ốm yếu hoài chỉ khiến mình uỂ OảI thui.
Thứ 5, kì tới phải quyết tâm theo bằng được tiến trình bài học ở trường. Ko thể để bỏ nhìu bài rùi học chữa cháy nữa. Quyết tâm! Quyết tâm! (chỗ này cần chú í là mấy kì trước cũng rình rang lắm, nhưng mà đuôi chuột...)
Dẫu thế nào mình cũng sẽ lun vui vẻ và yêu đời, chỉ cần làm việc có nguyên tắc hơn chút xíu là mọi chuyện sẽ ổn thui mà.!
